Review covered claims alleging that your business caused injury to a customer or another third party. Describe customer traffic and off-site work.
Ask how the policy treats accidental property damage, including property in your care or being worked on. Exclusions can be important.
Review injury or damage allegations arising after work is finished or a product is sold. Check the activities and limits insured.
Review the defined offenses and exclusions rather than assuming all advertising or reputational disputes are covered.
Ask how defense is provided, who handles a claim and whether the relevant expenses affect the available limit.
Share additional-insured, waiver and primary/noncontributory wording. A certificate is evidence of coverage and does not add these terms by itself.
Send the full insurance clause before the contract deadline. A certificate does not create coverage or add insured status. The insurer may need to approve specific endorsements, and the available wording may differ from a client’s request.
A Business Owners Policy may combine liability with eligible property and business-income coverage. General liability alone does not replace insurance for your own property, employee injuries, vehicles, professional advice, cyber incidents or employment practices.

Requirements depend on contracts, leases, licensing and the operation. Review the rules and agreements that apply to your business rather than assuming one limit fits everyone.
That is a separate workers’ compensation review. General liability is not a substitute for required employee-injury coverage.
An appropriate endorsement may be available. The relationship, contract wording, scope and timing need review; a certificate alone does not establish that status.
Share your current coverage, what has changed and when you need protection. Our Naples team will help you understand the available next steps.
Coverage, availability and eligibility depend on the insurer and policy. A quote request does not bind coverage; confirm your effective date and policy terms with our team.
