Choose coverage for the way you drive
A useful auto quote shows what happens if you injure someone, your car is damaged, or another driver cannot pay. As a Full Service Insurance Agency, PRK helps you compare available insurers, limits and deductibles so you can make an informed choice.

Liability
Property damage liability pays for covered damage you cause to others’ property. Bodily injury liability addresses covered injuries to other people. Compare both limits against the financial exposure you want to protect.

Personal injury protection (PIP)
Helps with eligible injury-related expenses regardless of fault, subject to Florida rules and policy terms. Review the deductible and benefits; PIP does not replace bodily injury liability.

Uninsured / underinsured motorist
Can help with covered injury losses when an at-fault driver has insufficient liability insurance. Ask about limits and stacked versus non-stacked options. Florida UM coverage does not repair your car.

Collision & comprehensive
Collision covers eligible crash damage to your vehicle. Comprehensive covers eligible non-collision losses such as theft, falling objects and flooding. Review each deductible and any lender or lease requirements.

Rental reimbursement & roadside
Optional rental reimbursement helps with a temporary vehicle after a covered claim, within daily and total limits. Roadside assistance has its own services and limits. Ask whether either duplicates protection you already have.

Deductibles & discounts
Choose a deductible you could comfortably pay after a claim. Ask about available multi-car, safe-driver and home-and-auto discounts, and compare the coverage as well as the final price.
Florida’s minimum is a starting point. Owners of most Florida-registered four-wheel vehicles must carry at least $10,000 in PIP and $10,000 in property damage liability. Other requirements can apply. These minimums do not include collision or comprehensive, and may leave substantial costs to you.

What affects your auto insurance price?
Your vehicles, drivers, driving and claims history, garaging address, mileage, prior coverage, limits and deductibles all matter. The lowest premium can also mean less protection or a larger bill after a claim.
We can review available multi-car, safe-driver and other insurer discounts. Ask us to compare home insurance and auto together; a bundle may help, but separate policies can sometimes be the better fit.

A deductible changes your share of a repair
Hypothetical collision comparison, with other terms held the same:
- Option A deductible
- $500
- Option B deductible
- $1,000
For a covered repair large enough for the full deductible to apply, Option B means $500 more toward that repair. Also compare liability limits, uninsured motorist coverage and rental reimbursement.
Tell us when your driving situation changes
- Moving to Florida: share your move date, vehicle location and registration plans.
- Spending part of the year here: explain where the car stays and who drives it during each season.
- Adding a teen or another household driver: review all regular drivers and their vehicle access.
- Delivering, ridesharing or using a car for work: disclose the use so we can check whether a personal policy, endorsement or commercial policy is appropriate.
What to have ready for an auto quote
Start with what you know. Your PRK agent can help identify anything else needed.
- Vehicle year, make, model and VIN, if available.
- Household and regular drivers, plus relevant driving history.
- Where each vehicle is kept, annual mileage and how it is used.
- Your current declarations page, showing limits and deductibles.
- Your renewal or desired start date and any loan or lease requirements.
Have license details available for the quoting process. Your agent will explain how to provide any required personal information.

Questions before buying auto insurance
Can you compare my renewal with other insurers?
Yes. Send your current limits, deductibles and renewal details through the quoting process. We can review available alternatives and point out coverage differences. Availability and pricing depend on the drivers, vehicles and insurer requirements.
Does “full coverage” include everything?
No. “Full coverage” is not a standard policy promise. People often use it to mean liability plus collision and comprehensive, but deductibles, exclusions, uninsured motorist coverage and rental reimbursement still need a separate review. Ask for the actual coverages and limits.
Will my policy cover a car I rent?
Some personal auto coverage may extend to a rental, depending on the policy, vehicle, use and location. Ask your agent before renting. This is different from rental reimbursement, which helps pay for a temporary car while yours is unavailable after a covered claim.
Can I insure a vehicle I keep in Florida seasonally?
Tell us where it is garaged, the months it stays here and who uses it. We can review available options for your situation. Do not assume coverage can be suspended while a Florida registration remains active; confirm the requirements before making changes.
