Your boat and equipment
Review the hull, engines, permanently installed equipment and trailer. Ask which items need separate limits and whether theft, collision and storm damage are included.
From a weekend on the bay to a longer coastal trip, your policy should fit your boat and where you use it. Our Naples team helps you review vessel, liability and storm-related coverage before you get on the water.

Review the hull, engines, permanently installed equipment and trailer. Ask which items need separate limits and whether theft, collision and storm damage are included.
Compare protection for covered injury or damage to someone else’s property. Review passenger use, permitted operators and any marina requirements.
Ask how a total loss would be settled. Agreed value and actual cash value are different choices; deductibles and partial-loss terms also matter.
Tell us where you cruise, fish and store the vessel. Confirm geographic limits, seasonal restrictions and whether trips outside your usual waters need approval.
Review hurricane deductibles and any requirements for hauling, moving or securing the boat. Ask about available storm-preparation expense coverage.
Ask about on-water assistance, salvage, fuel-spill liability, personal effects and uninsured-boater options. Check limits rather than assuming every service is included.
Share your usual navigation area, storage arrangements and who operates the vessel. Fishing trips, paid charters, rentals, liveaboard use and business use need specific discussion. A recreational policy should not be assumed to cover them.
Bring your marina or lender’s requirements and review them with the proposed policy. Look at the vessel value, named-storm deductible, equipment limits and navigation restrictions together. Tell us before changing storage locations or planning a trip outside the insured area.

Home policies can have limited watercraft protection. Review the vessel and liability exposure separately rather than assuming a home policy is sufficient.
Tell us about any paid passengers, rentals or other commercial use before requesting coverage. These operations need a different review from private recreational boating.
The boat’s value, age, size, engines, operators, claims history, storage and navigation area can all matter. Compare quotes using the same limits, deductibles and settlement basis.
Share your current coverage, what has changed and when you need protection. Our Naples team will help you understand the available next steps.
Coverage, availability and eligibility depend on the insurer and policy. A quote request does not bind coverage; confirm your effective date and policy terms with our team.
